Description
‘International Harvester Company’ was first established in Melbourne, Victoria around the early 1900’s. It was previously known as ‘The International Harvester Company of Chicago’ as it was originally an American company. Once it became an independent company it flourished. There was fierce competition in the world of farm machinery and implement manufacturers such as these. It shows the progression of change in farming practices from horsedrawn through to tractor.
This book was researched and compiled by Ken Arnold. It includes an extensive historical record of the various companies involved which were to eventually become known as the ‘International Harvester Company’.
Contained in the pages of this book are copies of original advertisements from newspapers, catalogues and other sources. This book is easy to read and filled with other interesting information. A great wealth of information can be found in it’s pages.
