Additionally, it gives some insight as to the farm machinery and associated equipment used by our pioneers. In their endeavour to settle and successfully farm their land, these relics were vital for our pioneers.
Included in the photos are those of old advertisements and signs. Ken Arnold’s ‘A Guide to Farmyard Relics in Australia’, gives factual information as to the manufacture and development of these agricultural implements and tools. Very comprehensive as are any of his publications.
Very interesting reading with surprising facts and other information. It even has a chapter on some very unique mailboxes.
Definitely a ‘must have’ book for identifying those relics you find lying around and would like to learn more about them. You never know what treasures may be found!
