Included in the photos are those of old advertisements and signs. ‘Old Portable Engines’ gives factual information as to the manufacture and development of these old engines. However, In some instances, some of the engines featured would appear to be an entirely different engine. Basically, they are a copy or slightly modified version of a better known engine. A very comprehensive identification guide as are any of his publications.

Consequently, ‘Old Portable Engines’ is very interesting reading with surprising facts and other information. Well worth the investment, especially if you are thinking of restoring an old portable engine back to it’s original condition.

Definitely a ‘must have’ book for identifying those relics you find lying around and would like to learn more about them. You never know what treasures may be found!
